Piano Lessons in Folsom CA Enrolling Now

Piano Lessons in Folsom CA Enrolling Now

Bach to Rock in Folsom, CA is enrolling piano students for the fall season. The piano is a springboard for the study of all other instruments. On the piano, students learn to read notes simultaneously in two different clefs (treble and bass) while developing their sense of polyphony (hearing more than one sound at the same time). The piano is physically easy to play, making it possible for a student to make a good musical sound or combination of notes on the piano faster than on any other instrument. This reinforces the desire to learn.

Our teachers have availability for private, semi-private and group lessons for all ages and skill levels. Don't forget about our beginner Kids n Keys class for ages 5-7, which introduces children to the fundamentals of music and piano playing in a fun group-setting.

Check out our student and staff performances around Folsom and Sacramento county including upcoming dates in September and October at the Town Center Farmers Market. See our events page for more info.

You can contact us at 916-265-2600 or folsom@bachtorock.com and we'll be happy to answer all your questions about piano and keyboard lessons as well as all other instruments we offer like guitar, drums, voice, brass, woodwinds and strings.

Bach to Rock, America’s music school for students of all ages, hosted a grand opening and open house on Saturday at 82 Clarksville Road, Suite 100. “We saw a demand in Folsom and across Sacramento County for high-quality music education, especially with the growing number of students affected by budget cuts in the state of California that eliminated many music and arts programs,” said Brian Gross, president of Bach to Rock. “Studies have shown that learning to play music in a group helps students learn teamwork, develop social skills and build self esteem, among other benefits. Every student should have the opportunity to be exposed to music education, so we are excited to introduce our fun, progressive curriculum to families in Folsom.”

Bach to Rock Folsom offers a variety of programs for both children and adults, including individual lessons, group classes such as Rock Band, early childhood programs for children as young as six months old, and summer camps. With the addition of B2R Folsom, Bach to Rock will have nine schools open and 17 franchised locations in development across the U.S.

“We’re thrilled to open the first Bach to Rock on the West Coast and introduce our innovative music instruction to the Folsom community,” said Melissa Bartell, Site Director of B2R Folsom. “We think students will love the variety of programs we offer and will enjoy receiving personalized instruction based on their skill level, so we can make learning music fun. We look forward to sharing the gift of music with families for many years to come.”

Grand Opening: Bach to Rock Music School in Fairfax, Virginia

Bethesda, MD – (October 20, 2020):   Bach to Rock, America’s music school for students of all ages, proudly announces it is opening a new school in Fairfax, Virginia. The community is invited to the free grand opening festivities on November 7, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at 9558 Main Street, Fairfax, Virginia, 22031.  Attendees are welcome to tour the school, enjoy a free music lesson, learn about individual lessons and group classes, try out free toddler “Mommy and Me” classes, enter prize drawings and giveaways, check out the recording studio, and enjoy performances by instructors.  The school will be practicing and enforcing state and county mandated COVID-19 public health safety and social distancing guidelines. As such, masks are required for all attendees at the school. The school will serve students from (but not limited to) Fairfax, Annandale, Oakton and Vienna.

“We are happy to be opening our newest school in Fairfax County, Virginia.  Especially during these challenging times, parents need options to keep their children engaged in fun, interactive and stimulating activities,” said President of Bach to Rock, Brian Gross.   Music lessons with Bach to Rock help students build teamwork, develop social skills, foster self-esteem, promote peer recognition, and lead to lasting friendships.  “While we are still in the midst of the pandemic, Bach to Rock is providing families a hybrid model of education, which features in-person lessons, virtual lessons, or a combination of both. The new Bach to Rock model offers families a variety of options and flexibility,” Gross continued.

Bach to Rock Fairfax offers programs for students of all ages including: individual and group lessons in piano, voice, guitar, drums and more; “Rock City” for preschoolers and “Rock and Roll” for toddlers; beginning piano “Kids n Keys” for children in grades K-2; and summer camps and birthday parties. The school also features the Beat Refinery DJ school, which offers mixing, scratching, and music production classes.  Plus, students can get involved in a glee club or rock band.

Meet Bach to Rock Multi-School Franchisee Sameer Patel

At the helm of the Fairfax school is Bach to Rock franchisee Sameer Patel, a Bach to Rock grassroots success story.  He first became aware of Bach to Rock when he enrolled his two children at the Bethesda, Maryland school. Noting its success and popularity, he began considering opportunities to become a franchisee, ultimately deciding to become a franchise investor of the Bristow, Virginia school.  Then three years later in 2018, he opened his second school in Fulton, Maryland.  Now, he is thrilled to be opening his third school. “The Bach to Rock method of music education has an amazing impact on children and adults.  The transformation is wonderful.  I’m excited to help people in the Fairfax area express their creativity through our fun and inventive music education programs,” said Patel.

Changing the Way Students Learn Music

Bach to Rock is reshaping music education on a national scale by turning solitary, boring music lessons into a group activity that is more like a team sport.  B2R focuses on providing a well-balanced music education because, ultimately, that is what parents are looking for. Students learn the intricacies of music — from theory to how to read music. Bach to Rock is the music school kids would have designed for themselves.  They get to jam with other kids right away and play current hits. The learning is the same, but the enjoyment factor is much higher.

Bach to Rock Music School Exceeds 100,000 Virtual Lessons Since Pandemic

Bach to Rock Music School Exceeds 100,000 Virtual Lessons Since Pandemic

10/12/2020 12:00:00 AM EDT

Bach to Rock (B2R), America’s music school for students of all ages, announces it has taught over 100,000 virtual music lessons to over 6,500 children across the United States since March 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic forced families to stay at home and curtail academic and enrichment activities. To accommodate families, in less than two weeks, Bach to Rock transitioned all of its forty-four music schools from in-person lessons to virtual lessons: first for private music instruction; followed by group instruction; then early education programs; followed by birthday parties and summer camps.

“Now, more than six months since the pandemic started, we are proud we have been able teach over 100,000 lessons virtually,” said President of Bach to Rock, Brian Gross. “The pandemic forced us to rethink how we do business.  Parents were eager for normalcy, fun and camaraderie for their children, and we wanted to support them during the crisis by continuing music lessons,” stated Gross. The same spirit and bonding that comes with Bach to Rock in-person instruction successfully bridged to virtual lessons.   Parent reviews show high ratings for Bach to Rock’s quick response to the COVID-19 pandemic, their professionalism and dedication to keeping students engaged in remote lessons.

As states have re-opened, Bach to Rock is providing families a hybrid model of education, offering in-person, virtual lessons, or a combination of both. The new Bach to Rock model offers families a variety of options and flexibility. “No matter how we teach, Bach to Rock promises that the old days of dreary and lonely music lessons are gone.  Students learn to play today’s hits and jam with other kids from the start. You’ll see students paired up in groups and teams to help ignite the musical energy,” said Gross.

In a fierce competition at the 2019 Bach to Rock Battle of the Bands, 36 bands went head-to-head at City Winery in New York City on Sunday, June 9.

Over 800 proud parents, family members and fans came to support and cheer on students from Bach to Rock Port Washington, Bach to Rock Mamaroneck and Bach to Rock Nanuet.

The groups performed in both the Main Space and The Loft at City Winery and rocked the iconic hotspot.

“The students, who range in age from 7 to 18, and their band coaches worked tirelessly for months to prepare for this tremendous event and I’m beyond proud of all the performers,” said Bach to Rock Port Washington Director Elana Hayden. “While this is a competition, the main point is for the kids to have a great experience, to get to perform in a top New York City venue – and to have fun and feel like a rock star!”

Six seasoned music industry professionals, Carolee Goodgold (Carly Simon), John Miller (Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton), Brandon “Taz” Niederauer (Lady Gaga, Dr. John), Cameron Rasmussen (Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway), Jason Reese (Sal “The Voice” Valentinetti) and Wayne Schuster (Blood, Sweat, and Tears) judged the performances.

Over 150 students performed on stages that have hosted Lou Reed, Suzanne Vega, Joan Osborne, Taj Mahal, Patti Smith, and Buster Poindexter to name a few.

The bands were scored on several criteria including musical ability, technical ability, stage presence, material, creativity, and professionalism. All the competitors study a variety of musical disciplines at Bach to Rock music school, including music theory, instrument instruction, recording arts, performance arts, voice lessons and band coaching.

This is our student of the month: Indica! She has been playing piano for one year now! When she isn't playing music, she enjoys biking and disc golf. A fun fact about Indica is that her name means "night star princess protected by wolves". Her favorite thing about being a part of Bach to Rock is singing with her band Purple Nightmare, as well as playing piano with her mom who also takes lessons here. Congrats Indica!
